Money, Mobiles & Me
First things first, I want an iPhone and I want it bad. I just wished it had 3G (which I think it will probably have in Europe) and a ‘Send to many’ messaging feature (which I think Apple will change via a software update) I must have read at least a hundred feeds about the phone. The good news for me is that I no longer have to worry about paying for the new phone. Dad has agreed to buy me one. That is some good news indeed, I just wish that the phones were available in India or Dubai. Errrgh.
Talking of money, poor old Bill Gates is no longer the richest guy in the world. The new guy is some mexican whose name that I don’t remember. I just read his name like twenty times in the last half and hour and I don’t remember his name! I would have attributed that to Alzheimers, but I do remember that I am not old enough. I think it is due to my cerebrum’s general disregard for anything related to what we would call ‘General Knowledge’. I used to be pretty good at that and I still consider myself knowledgeable enough when it comes to things like those, but my memory of things like the first living creature in space seems to be leaving me ( The first answer that my brain gave to the question was - Lenovo :p Then the words were Laiko, Laika and blah. Google tells me that the dog indeed was Laika. The name of the guy, the guy richer than Bill friggin Gates, is Carlos Slim)I still do not have internet with at my home. I have been accessing sites via GPRS and to be honest, I am glad that I have this connection. Even if it is on my stinky Nokia browser and not on iPhone’s Safari. Still, it is a real pain in the thumb. Chatting through your phone is just too hard on your thumbs (unless it is a phone with QWERTY keyboard (physical or not ;D) ) and so is typing anything. I cannot use the T9 dictionary for chatting also does not help (I once sent bra in place of brb to a female friend.) There are several other interesting word pairs too which you get on hitting the same keys, none which I am able to remeber now). It is good that I can read feeds easily on my phone and check mails too, hence giving me something to do. I changed my feed reader from Bloglines to Google-Reader just because of the latters ability to support mobile phones (also partly because of Scoble and Sumedh. The only thing remaining now is GTalk. Does anyone know of any Web-based messenger or Symbian phone application so that I can use the same? Other than Agile messenger or IM+ (which are not free). I wish google made one, their GMail mobile application is just fantabulous. I also miss not being able to do multiple things at the same time on the phone. Also I spent Rs 120 on GPRS charges yesterday alone.I really want to read the HPDH and I really want my Notebook battery and charger back and I want an internet connection.
I think my posts have been very off my blog flavor lately. I again blame the the above mentions three things for the same. I would also have blamed those things for this world going to dogs, if I knew if there was any chance that you would believe me. No, actually it is due to Microsoft Corp and Saas Bahu serials.

heh. dogs are cute man! Don’t blame things because of this world going to them
BTW, congrats on startin’ to use GReader. Yes, the Gmail mobile app. is indeed fantabulous. Sadly, I’m not aware of their mobile Gtalk client.
P.S. Don’t you think you are wanting a little too much?
I mean, starting with an iPhone, and then HPDH, and then the notebook battery and then the charger, and, then, the internet!!

Hehe…I know it’s difficult to live without those things. But one shouldn’t miss an opportunity to pull a leg!

P.P.S: I notice you still have kept alive the secret whisperer in your blogroll! My pseudonym now is Narziss

Yeah, yeah, I know that is going to add salt to your wounds cause by not having an internet connection, and your inability to change your blogroll without one

ok m still wondering your friend’s reaction when you wrote “bra” and also… u spelt cerebrum wrong…(sorry for being such an ass… i love to point out spelling mistakes)

Oh the bra is another story, Jahnabi. The cerebrum has now been fixed, it was actually a typo, and I blame my cerebellum for that.
Sumedh aka Narziss previously Secret whisperer and I don’t know what else, the link has been duly changed and that too using the Opera browser on my mobile. It is a shame though that I am using it in the trial period while some phone manufacturers give it bundled.

no internet!!!
all the using-your-phone-for-accessing-the-net sounds like a real pain in the neck.
and talking about reasons for the world going to the dogs, you might want to add cartoons dubbed in hindi to the list (they drive me nuts).
oh and, we wanna hear the story!!!!!

You frustration shows in your post and I hope you get all those things (battery, internet etc.) fast. I know how it feels to have just a GPRS connection and a cell phone for internet access.

Poor you… How uncivilised the world must have felt under the circumstances…

And, about web-based messengers… Gmail now has a web-based version, its available on my blog… That apart, how about trying out meebo.com?? I haven’t tried it out on many cellular platforms… Xcept for some smartphones… So, I’ll wish you luck there…
