The Way it Is

Ahh does blogging after a long time feel good. Especially when the last time you checked the blog read  pwned By Mor-r0ver gr33tz to all. Excuse me if it seemed that I had intended this blog to be a historic artifact bearing a testament to the might of human laziness. Hey, but you are not gonna blame me for security exploits in earlier versions of Wordpress, access to port 2083 being blocked by my college (hence not being able to bring the blog back). College life is pretty hectic with all the assignments, projects, terabytes of- movies, sitcoms, documentaries on your network, and hours of DOTA you know. This semester has been the most eventful for me yet. Only about a month left before I finally give my finals and this rugged semester will finally come to an end.

Life in college, especially engineering ( and I think in medical ones too) colleges is much different than what you expect it to be. For one, time sits on a crow which flies faster than light. All that masti that they show in Rang De Basanti and Main Hoon Na, does not exist. There is no going around singing and dancing Masti Ki Paathshala roaming around in bikes. Oh but don’t get me wrong, college life is fun. Staying up all night, playing Counter Strike or watching Juno with friends ( which is one of the best movies I have seen) hours before a test gives a rush of adrenalin which is unique in its own way.

Yup, it does have a unique adrenalin rush, as does missing two (assessed) lab classes in a row because they were at 10 in the morning. ;)

Good to see you blogging again.

Where have you been? Too much of DotA, I guess :)

meh, atleast i didn’t take science. commerce FT.EPIC.WIN! :D seriously though, how much do you have to grind in engineering? id rather try to get into an ivy league school for my grad degree than stay back in india, but then there is too much opposition at home :(. dad would rather have me going to DU but the cutoff screws with mere mortals like me. by the way, Juno was sweet. too bad most of my friends didnt get it a whole lot :(. by the way, have you seen hot fuzz? EPIC comedy! prolly the best of ‘07. as for CS, id rather play team fortress 2/ gears of war MP, BUT each to his own. btw blog is WIN!
    backtracking NOW.

Abhishek, yeah, too much of DoTA these days.

Ankur, you really do have to grind quite a lot in science. The Ivy League thing sounds pretty good ( I actually wish I was rather in an Ivy than here in Dubai). Though if you are doing Commerce, why don’t you enjoy out there in India and then for your Masters go abroad? Glad you liked my blog.

yea, thats prolly what is gonna happen, although getting into an ivy league school for a post grad requires atleast 3-4 of work experience. As for my parents, working after graduation is unheard of. damn the IIMs! another issue is that i’m not really sure if i want to do an MBA after my grad. It seems rather …..umm..generic. it’ll prolly be an impulsive decision as to what i take after my 12th. btw my 11th as already started, the school took an aptitude test for admissions into 11th. And 11th already seems to an awesome year. w00t! ;D :D
